Significance of Communication in the Business Arena




In business, communication skill is the basic mantra of success and client satisfaction should be the perfect attitude. The business owner or the management has to communicate with the clients and they have to maintain a certain communication level. Client sometimes inquires about a product and its availability. The conversation should be very polite and mannered. Client should not be dissatisfied with the conversation. This makes the company - client relationship stronger. The attitude in conversation should always be “client satisfaction.” A normal communication should be “Good afternoon, Sir, what can I do for you?’ This creates a positive impression on the client. If the basic attitude is strong, smaller disputes do not matter in the long run. At times when client visits your office, the reception should greet them, May I help you, sir” and first of everything offer them to have a seat. Then the concerned person to whom the client is visiting should be informed of his arrival. Then he should be guided to his cabin respectfully, “this way please, the first cabin on the right.” The client should then be offered for some tea or coffee since a visitor is the most important person in your office.

In case the management is communicating regarding outstanding dues, they can start conversation with “Sir, we happened to notice there is an outstanding due of the amount pending for last two months. We request you to kindly clear this due at your earliest.” Communication with client is very important as client brings in business and hence we need to be polite and professional while dealing with the clients.

Most businesses succeed only because of their rapport with their clients and the positive manner in which they interact with their clients.

Thus, in simple terms communication is one of the best ways to achieve success in your business.
