Making a big team cannot guarantee better business execution

There is no doubt that collaboration can improve the level of productivity at large by making a better business execution. But the experience with James Treybig (President, Tandem Computers) is a bit too different and is also counterfactual statement of my previous line. In a meeting with his engineer’ team James presented his opinion on business collaboration. He stated that when his team of engineers comprised only 20 members, it performed miraculously. However, as he brought in more engineers and the total number of members roused to 300 there didn’t seem much work being done.
