Organizational behavior is a detailed study of how people behave in an organization, its in existent since the time of industrial era – managers at managerial level make use of organizational theories to tackle problems and deal with their employees. Organizational behavior makes use of many theories together concerning discipline, bureaucracy, human relations and manager’s role in the company. There are a varied discipline that concerns a human behavior in an organization that includes the psychology, sociology, social psychology, communications, anthropology and many more. The successful organizations have a very organized way of working and have great benefits against their competitors.

As per the research on organizational developments, it’s said that around 40% of the success of a company depends on the way people are managed in ways that build upon their commitment, learning power, involvement and competence. Organizational behavior has many a sub fields that includes subject areas like group behavior, individual behavior and collective behavior, all these characteristics comprise an organizational behavior, a company might have varied issues to deal with but if organizational behavior of employees, manager, etc. is handled efficiently, everything can be resolved by bringing commitment amongst the employees and encourage them to work in harmony.

When organizational behavioral theory is in place in the management of company a manager can study an individual behavior of each employee and thus bring about change in their working conditions and if need be can change their perceptions, personality and attitude. Motivation is the main driving force that runs an organization, studying their individual behavior helps to plan future strategies and plans that will bring an increase in the amount of output. The organization group interaction allows the manager to provide an insight in several other important fields like leadership challenge, communication challenge, team work challenge, power decision, conflict, etc. the main function of an organizational theory is to bring about a change in the way people work and change their behavioral patterns as per the need of the working conditions of an organization. It studies the way the organizations work, their structure, their hierarchy and each functions as an individual. It helps the decision makers of a company to study varied systems of working in control department and decision-making department. It also studies the learn capabilities of an organization and to what extent is it ready to adapt to new changes and challenges in the organization.

The organizational behavior of a company is in sync with the changing competitiveness, new technological developments, the economic stability of a nation, the social life of a people, and political conditions of an economy or a country. The healthier organizational theories, the more changes it can bring in working conditions of its employees and helps improve the overall reputation of a company on a global level.
