Leaders Help Build Brands!

Leaders are the main working individuals in an organization, they rank even higher than the managers I may say this fact! Leaders have this innate ability to attract the audience not just inside the company but helps in building brands outside the company too. The leaders have the power to influence their employees and create the brand value for a company in the outside world; a simple message sent by a leader through may be a word of mouth or a presentation or a seminar or a newspaper interview can do wonders for the company. Bigger companies pay higher emphasis on the leaders they select, because these are the individuals who blend the culture of a company and thus helping their employees to achieve their targets. A leader may be looked from different perspective by different leaders, some may think of their leaders as very helpful, understanding, smart and intelligent and some may see a leader doing a foolish thing (that is from a person’s perspective then, a leader might be doing it knowingly by using his brains but it might not be seen by other person) so such is the case, between both the cases there is wide difference, one episode says leader is intelligent and the other a foolish leaders, it all depends upon how the leaders have found a tool or an art for sending the right message to his fellowmen, other market leaders, a constituency, or competitors, or audiences.

A great leader should be capable of sending across the right, intelligent message, which will stay with the audiences for years to come ahead. In a business world, where there is so much competition around the place it nearly gets very important to come up as a brand rather than just a product and the corporate messaging becomes important for product positioning in the market areas. The leader having the power to capture the audiences can directly impact its takers and helps in building corporate brand equity, he even knows what market initiatives to be taken, manage a company during crisis, press relations, the team management, investor relationships and many other areas of a company.

More than the leaders doing good to your company, it is their personal growth, which would be enhanced and helps in building the career. There are big directors, CEOs and managing directors of the company who didn’t had much of managerial skills but they had great power in their speech and messaging, one uttered word would speak volumes about their company and that is how they went on to build great empires, these are the leaders having great influence over the spoken matter and at the same time I agree to the fact that leaders possessing good managerial skills are not always the successful ones to influence their audience so the real word is the more powerful use of words, the more stakeholders you can bring in your company, “Its All a Word Game”, remember always!

The great leaders have profound knowledge of what to speak and where to speak, they are articulate in their cheap, and talk consistently over a period of time, so audiences have faith in their talks. They speak with authority, a clear, simple yet powerful message, a leader is the one who will never compromise on their values and beliefs and at the same time, there are never conflicting messages in their speech, they have power to bind and inspire their followers. The leaders are always confident of what they speak, whether their audiences like or not, if they are speaking right things, there is nothing, they have to fear about, still there would be larger number of audiences following them. People gets mesmerized by the way the message has been crafted, there are 4 different categories people tend to fall in to there are people who treat 1) medium, 2) market, 3) message, 4) messenger as the message from their leaders. These four values taken together holds more value then their individual standalone value. The leaders of bigger organization follow a strict cross-disciplined and collaborative approach, which is key to their business success. Here are some of the few points I consider important while crafting your message:

  1. Honesty is the pillar of great business enterprises; speak the truth because that is what is going to come out in the end finally. Whether you say it or no, people will know the truth tomorrow, so why not say it today even if it sounds bitter to them.
  2. Don’t just blindly follow one approach, make use of multiple approach to attract your audience through creative messages. Even if your message is small it should carry a powerful blasting message, people will really look up to.
  3. While giving a speech, don’t get lost in your own words, speak and listen to yourself carefully and concentrate on what next you are going to speak. Be consistent in your talks and don’t give confusing and contrasting statements.
  4. Before you head out, know your audiences well. Their mental thinking power, their capabilities, what impact will it have on their minds after hearing your speech, etc. give relevant information to them and study and analyze their behavior properly before trying to create a brand.
  5. You need not always have your friends to praise you, your audiences might includes foes and friends, you should keep yourself mentally ready for the consequences, if such thing might occur.

A leader is the most powerful person in a company, he is the one who can change people’s attitude towards something, the culture of the company can be blend professionally with the powers leaders possess, Hats off to leaders who sacrifice their whole lives in bringing up the empire!
