Human Resource Management is very important department in any organization; it is the very soul of the company that handles everything whether directly or indirectly. All organizational work of the company is done in that cubicle you always wondered what it is all about? We know that human resource is one of the best and very important resources for organization to achieve results, its just not the computers and assets that make up a company, your organization will only work if you have good human resource working for you. Lets get in to a formal definition of human resource as mentioned in books, “Human Resource Management is one function of the organization as a whole which is responsible for recruitment of the company employees, the management recruitment and also providing proper direction to its employees. There are number of designations in a human resource, and if you have some degree in human resource management, you can surely handle 2 stuff at a time. Sometimes we often find the line managers acting as human resource person and they are given the responsibility to act on a dual part and it’s beneficial too, as they know their teams well and can take quick easy decisions.
You as an employee of the organization must have often visited this department which handles varied activities like arranging for pay scales based on the experience, compensation, performance management, hiring, safety of its employees, wellness, training of new employees, regular updates, communication, motivation within its employees, organization development, the benefits for employees, administration and many other aspects of the organization. You can say the HRM department is spread over different nooks and corners of the company and you cannot escape its glare on you for it administers each and every process in detail along with your performance as an individual and as a team.
As much as the HRM guys are given power to take decisions in an organization, their job is as much challenging, a person in HR department just cannot take any decisions it should be in accordance with its higher hierarchy and they should possess special tools which will help them take easy decisions, they should be having an access with education resources and company’s associations with other companies. There are varied functions of an HR department guys and each one of them are levied a task which they are supposed to fulfill whether it may be hiring employees or giving the bonuses, they cannot afford to make a single mistake because that can lead to organizational loss.
Human Resource is one of the hottest topics to discuss in varied departments of the companies to decide on cutting down on costs and to come out with new strategic plan to beat the competition hard way. There are some special tips of Human Resource managers and that is to stay in touch with what is latest happenings in the company, the development of HRM, the shaping of the company, saving valuable time and put in managerial decisions and keeping track of the success of the company and achieve the company’s financial goals.
