Is Face-To-Face Selling Important?
Selling has always been a most dominant and important part of any business, if there is no selling there cannot be a business, actually both are interdependent on each other. A product sells in the market through marketing done by marketers, but there are varied ways to marketing, some do phone selling, some internet selling, some home-to-home selling. As the times are changing, the Internet world has bought a complete change in the way we bought any item or sold any item. Sometimes are really feel tensed that we might forget the roots of our business rules and ethics because now a days everything can be done over internet, internet – the new face and the new challenge. People buy groceries by ordering online, food online, playing, making a bet, etc. everything is on internet so where are those old age days when people met through some means, say for shopping, playing cricket or choosing the groceries they want in the mall or preparing food at home for loved ones? The world is getting smaller but we are getting farther, as internet has got us lost in our own web world, even if we are stuck inside one room for a month without anything, we can do everything and everything if we have internet by our side.
Bigger companies have online stores but are it worth the effort? Are they able to sell more than the actual physical stores? Although, some critics might argue, why not internet, when it is so much convenient and hardly takes any time compared to travel and persuade your audience. When you meet a person face-to-face there are more chances he can persuade his potential customer in buying the product, as of today in-person selling is the most powerful and widely used method for selling the products as it brings lots of goodwill and that you know your customers personally. You can even know their likes and dislikes and know if they are looking out for something special from the product or a company.
Nothing can motivate a person in to buying the product strongly than the personal marketer who is right there present to answer all your queries, internet has loads of online stores, people have options and different companies to look for. Looking from the companies point of view, its rather better to spend money on marketing personally rather than going online as here there are more chances your customer is going to buy your product. What matters most in selling your products for the company is your verbal communication with your client, the interaction is the most important tool, which can convey your potential buyers in to actually buying your product. Bigger companies, who deal in raw materials supply and stuff, give presentation on slide shows, for convincing the other company in to buying their raw material, by showing them the superiority over other products.
For the starter of any business, selling is critical part which is the deciding factor for the success of your business, this especially becomes more important when the business is new and you are yet to gain that confidence from your going to be customers. You can’t depend on any other guy to carry on with your business activities, at the start of your business you might not have much of human resource for now and even if you have, I advice you to do it all on your own because that would make sure that everything is in place and there is no outsider fiddling with your newly opened enterprise. As your business prospers and you know your customers are sure of your services and you are confident of your staff, then can you delegate your work but giving good service to your customers and giving them a personal touch in selling experience calls for you personally attending to their needs.
