Effective leadership skills



The Leaders are the main contributing factors to a rise or down fall of an economy, companies, nations, political parties or whatever you might term it as. A successful leader may have all the qualities to take the company on the top ladder while a failing leader may get your company nowhere, in fact helps in degrading the status of the company. A leader is the one who has followers; people blindly follow their leaders because of the trust and bond they share for years together. In a way we all are leaders, we too have followers like our children follow us and share our opinion before taking any major steps and even we as leaders have some idols and influences to follow. We are all interrelated and tangled to share our views, policies and opinions with the people to whom we are close with. Leaders have magnetic personality and so does their leadership skills, it helps them to attract people and follow them. We need to take utmost care that we lead people in a positive direction who are blindly following us, it’s our responsibility not to misguide them for our benefits; here are some effective leadership skills, which are the main attributes of a successful leader:

  • The first and foremost quality of a great leader is they APPRECIATE for who they are; there is no kind of imitation to another person. They act real and they behave and take realistic actions.
  • Leaders always keep A POSTIVE state of mind, they expect positive results from everything they do and take plunge in. The only motivating factors in their life are self contained positive attitude, no one or nothing can take away that from a leader.
  • You cannot convince a person unless you are yourself confident about something or believe in. Leaders are said to BELIEVE in themselves with firm mind and heart.
  • Leaders DON’T HESITATE change in their lives. Every one of us needs change in life and unless we are ready to accept challenges and bring in change we cannot excel or grow.
  • Leaders draw their own path, they PLAN FOR FUTURE and take necessary steps to be successful in that direction. They are destined to achieve success and define motivating path for themselves.
  • A leader is the one who influences people and is influenced by others to follow the path of success; he is always BUILDING RELATIONSHIP WITH QUALITY PEOPLE. They are the main motivating factors in their life.
  • An effective leader sees a positive outcome in a negative situation, they are known for their positive attitude. Leaders can be termed as an OPTIMIST because these are the main attributes of an effective leadership.
  • Leaders do not just lead, they take care not to mislead their followers and at the same time love and respect them for their efforts. Being a leader does not mean you should be capable of controlling or influencing the crowed, leadership is willingly people let control them and give you respect for what you are.

An organization cannot achieve its success targets without following a particular strategy; leaders are the main motivating factors in an organization. People take examples from their leaders to lead their way ahead and get success on in their lives. No leaders are born, they are made, to suit the requirements of a company and a nation, leadership skills are in-built, but they it develops well with hand-on experience when faced with real time situations of life.
