Control Time And Make More Time!



Time management has always been an issue whether in organizations, businesses, homes, conferences, workshops, get-together, a little jitter envelops us when we get close to the time we were supposed to report work to or go for some interview or attending some functions but why is it that we always fall short of some time, why cant we be more attentive about what needs to be done on time, is it that managing time doesn’t matter to us at all even if we are not doing any productive work? The main key lies in managing your time and controlling the manner in which you spend your time, for effective time management you need to learn controlling your time and differentiating your priorities in life.

Different environments have different culture so the manner in which you spend time and use it, differs. Most of the successful people in life control their time so as to make more time in doing things which they don’t get time for, so they actually create more time than 24 hours in a day. The work culture permits you to spend your time in doing productive work of a company so you become productive for those particular hours of the day, if you want more time on your hands you need to be planning in advance about your needs and others needs. As the time changes, so does our priorities, as your priorities change so do your time, it’s upon us to plan your time in an organized manner and create time for other things life. While, there are of course some things in life, on which we absolutely don’t have any control, like you cant control the work flow, you cant control your boss and tell him what is urgently needed, you cant control the access productivity in a company and of course you cant stop time where it was, so things keep moving and some times your time gets wasted because you don’t have control over them. In such cases, you can keep a back up plan which would help you to replace the old plan which didn’t work, and if you have organized work flow – you would already have the list of the other tasks that needs to be completed as a priority.

In my research I might have interviewed thousands of people starting form waiters, to the clerks working in banks, housewives, executives, businessmen, managers, CEOs and chairpersons they all had just one problem to overcome and that is of TIME, time is perishable it is not going to come back they know but everyone had problem relating to shortage of time even if they tried hard at their ends and most of them had reasons about their bosses, because of which they couldn’t perform their tasks on time. We all follow the boss’s instructions but there are some things where the bosses are wrong and because of them, it causes much more work, delay in producing the work and stops the technical thinking of the person involved so you OUGHT TO BE CREATING EXTRA TIME to overcome such hassles, where you cannot speak or do anything but your surely have CONTROL OVER THE TIME YOU SPEND THERE and then doing the tasks or do the tasks in the manner you always wanted to.

For creating EXTRA time you need:

  • To have a time menu, as to what work needs to be done at what hour of the day.
  • Organizing your work in a to-do list.
  • Managing time, work and speed properly. Making optimum utilization of the time and resources at your end.
  • Valuing the time of others along with yours.
  • In a day trying to do one work extra than you did yesterday.

Following all the above will surely let you see improvement in your work processes, if not, then something is surely wrong with your plan. Any other suggestions are welcome.
